It was a little tough trying to get a picture with both the end of the barrels in the picture and the end of the stock, but I almost made it.

For those who don't know, you figure out the grade of a Darne by adding up the darne stamp marks on the barrel flats and add 10. Looks like 12 stamps in the picture which when added to 10 makes a 22 grade.

I had a beautiful Darne 28 ga. R-15 28" I bought from Steve Barnett at the Southern SxS years ago. Unfortunately I had to sell it to help finance an emergency surgery for my English setter. I had to let the gun go but had another year and a half with him including a last hunting season. It was more than worth it; I didn't miss the gun very long but I still miss him today. Your gun is the nicest vintage Darne I have seen; the only one so far with the retailer's name on the gun. Thanks for sharing!
