I have found that many S x Ss will crossfire with loads that are much lighter, or higher velocity, than the original loadings the gun was built for. The most recent example is my Fox Sterlingworth Ejector 20 ga. quail and woodcock gun. With 7/8 oz. loads at around 1200 fps it crossfires both barrels to the tune of 8 inches. With 1 oz. loads at 1150 fps it prints each barrel's pattern perfectly centered and on top of each other.
