I really like the durofelt product. I chuck a punch into my drill press, put it on the lowest speed, and put pc of 2x12 fir on the table and cut/punch them out very quickly. I use them as a filler in my .45-90 loads. You can use the same method to make vegetable card wads for shotshells if you can find a punch with a round stem. I make them for my .45-90 also and put one under the bullet to protect the base of the cast bullet during ignition. Makes the gun shoot very consistently, at least out to the 200 yds I've tested it at. I think I got my card stock from Buffalo Arms. I've also seen on some forums that some punch them out of cardboard egg cartons.
