This was the last knife he made for me. It is based on a longhunter's knife pattern. A knife of this type this might have been carried by D. Boone, and other long hunters, as he explored the western frontier (Kentucky). My friend had the handle scrimshawed on one side, though if I'd had my druthers I'd have left it plain. Sharpens extremely well, and has a thinner blade than the Bowie above. Ten inch blade, fifteen inches overall.
