Sorry, Scott, if my comment upset you. It was not my intention. I meant it when I wrote,
"You know your shooting and your needs best." I agree with you that a full choke is not
required to take a Bobwhite. Having never shot at pen raised birds except when planted for training purposes, like you, over time I have developed my prejudices about what works best for wild birds where I hunt them. In the end, my experience is not yours. Having said this, I must admit that over time I've come to appreciate originality in vintage guns, but that's my bias, and may not be yours.
