OK, “half pistol”, “round knob”, and even “pistol” (in Parker records) all denote the same grip.

Now comes Diggory Hadoke in VINTAGE GUNS, page 71, calling it, “semi-pistol-grip”.

So many synonyms are bound to make for continued confusion.
