"...double ivory....F/F..The front bead must be a replacement, as it is much whiter than the mid bead. Is there a way to tone down the color ?

If the bead is truly ivory or bone, it can be toned down with a strong tea. You may need to treat it several times, but, eventually it will yellow.

I thought I had a couple mammoth ivory sights. I let one soak all night in a mix of black tea and iodine..White as the driven snow ..still!..I'll try a few more days. Is there a place that has true ivory ? A lot of them say "ivory beads" but mine must be PVC !..j..
