Yup, flat butt surface indicating that the gun is not an original butt plate gun unless it was cut for a pad. I am guessing that the length of this stock from the middle of front trigger to the middle of the buttplate is somewhat less than 14". With a nice original type pad installed professionally, crooked screws fixed, it will be a nice gun that will more than fit in with George's value estimate. All values are contingent on barrel measurements and originality. Great wood on this gun.
