W.W. Greener's Modern Shot Guns, 1888 contains an advertisement for “The Trap Gun” -
“It is a new and improved model of this most popular gun. Designed specially to the requirements of American Sportsmen, and, in addition to the usual improvements formed on modern complete guns, has Treble Grip from the Top Lever, and is well and tastily finished and elegantly engraved. The shooting of each gun is guaranteed.”

I once knew of a Greener Trap Gun like that, that was a ten gauge.
Both hammers were silvered back together and it had yew dowels inside of the stock. It seems a prior owner committed suicide with a firearm and his family smashed up his collection. Literally.
