And they were good ones. Nothing about the quality of the people I recommended has changed since 2011. The requirement that submissions be campaigned by the submitter takes away from the importance of the "committee". Once I submit a certain person, it should not be neccesary for me to get three or four more people to submit that person's name for him to be considered. When I submit a name and a set of reasons for my recommendations, the "committee" should take over and make a decision. From what I have been told in the past, a certain number of nominations of a certain nominee are neccesary for that person to be considered. That is not the way it should be done.
