Hi Matthew! Welcome to the PGCA Forum.

I owned a 16 gauge Trojan with 26" barrels and reluctantly sold it to my brother-in-law. He still has it and we hunt together in Vermont from October 1st through the end of November. I still get to admire that little Trojan whenever we get together. You've got a great Parker there!
The "X" on the forend lug is typical of the Trojan but I can't say I remember the "R" as being stamped on the one I had. Maybe you could show us a picture of the stamp and it might jog some memories.

Here's a picture of my brother-in-law Jamie and his Trojan after a successful morning in Vermont.
