Robert, I usually roll crimp just paper hulls. My cut plastic 10ga hulls are done on a Mec that has a wad guide, so wads go in rather easy. Because 10ga hulls are so expensive I just star crimp. If I roll crimp 12ga plastic hulls, they're just thrown away after shooting. Harold, I've never noticed a difference in the mouths of Federal hulls compared to the Rem or Win hulls, they all seem the same to me other than the Feds are a straight walled hull and the Rem and Win are tapered. You might want one if reloading plastic roll crimped hulls as it would help open the case mouth again. Because I use one of those metal bits that go in a drill press to roll crimp, they seem pretty easy to roll crimp without skiving.
