I've never owned a 10 Ga, but I am assuming that the diameter is quite larger than a 12Ga. The 12 Ga brass rim fits perfectly into either barrel, so if a 10 is larger, it will not fit. I did a little research before and seems like someone said the # 2 frame was used for the lighter 10s and heavier 12s. Not sure about matting on the rib. I'll look and see if I can figure out what you're talking about there Chuck.
