Have you looked to see if a stock thinner pad you could put on yourself would work? I don't know what the factory put on those.

I have found that many of the new brownings are very long as they come. I have had to shorten a few of them over the years for people.

And I am just the opposite. I am 6" 3" and everything I get is to short for me. It seems there are no reputable/competent stock fitters in my part of the country either.
