I had been under the impression that a nice 12 ga. Trojan could be had for $500-$1000 +/- but had yet to find one that I thought was all original with some condition. This one does look very nice and was advertised as original. At first, I thought it was too much for a 12 ga. but after a few of you stated that was a reasonable price I decide to go for it. I am excited to get it my hands and get out and try it out. This makes #3 so I guess I am hooked. Thanks for all the comments.

I think you were shopping in 2026 but your brain was on 2024. Sadly everything is going up. As someone on here said it's all about condition. I paid that for a very nice mostly original 16g about 6 years ago. I couldn't touch that now.

How much was the asking price on this one? As it has sold, that’s been removed.

I don’t think 12 gauge side by sides have increased since 2024. At best, they are stagnant, if not decreasing.

You did just fine. I shoot my 20 ga Trojan probably more than any of my other Parkers

To me, that seems fair. But I have a weakness for a side by side showing a decent amount of case colouring. And, the gauge doesn’t bother me like it does some. Being a 12 gauge hurts it, however, and I don’t know how much higher than $1700 it could have brought.

I figured that was very close to the top end of the price range for a 12 ga. Trojan in the condition that is in.

The "top end of the price range" is what we normally pay. Watch the Guyette and Deeter auction on Thursday and add in the buyer's premium and shipping.
