Hi Harry,
The gun is a 10 gauge and has 30" barrels. Tried to get better pictures earlier but the light is not good enough or I don't have a very good digital camera. will try again tomorrow. |

Gary, Looks a lot like a gun I have A1943 but it is a back action 12ga. Your gun looks to be in great shape congrats.

Per the Serialization Book, SN 2451 is a laminated steel barreled, base grade, underlifter in 12ga with 30" barrels. The gun was made in 1874.

I have B3083. It like many other 3000 serial range guns now has a fore end latch and rebounding hammers. My B 3291 has a fore end "bow tie" checking pattern like 3081, but 3083 has three equal size diamonds in the checking.
The 2000 - 5000 serial range may be the most interesting part of Parker evolution. It appears that King revolution ized many things during that period. Best, Austin |
