I read your initial posting and while I love the gun, the part about your dogs made me misty eyed. I too hunt Labs. Pheasants, quail and waterfowl. I try to have a young understudy to take some miles off of my older dog. My Ranger is 11. He had a strong year. However, I can feel it coming. When you pick that puppy up, you sign up for ALL of it.
