A PGCA letter often mentions a restock. Often also is the restock being done at the lowest possible grade to save money. However, it is not unknown for a gun to have a different grade of wood or checkering at build time. My unengraved CH Grade gun has factory D Grade wood and a credit issued for the deletions.
