Now the question is whether you’re going to use factory 3 1/2” shells with 2 1/4 ounces of payload ? I patterned some Winchester 10 gauge 3 1/2” Turkey loads in the Grade 2 top lever hammer gun I had using the Belgian fluid steel barrels and even with the gun weighing 10 1/2 pounds it still cleared your sinus’s . Same can be said when I bought a nice new Remington SP-10 semi auto in 1990 and patterned it . Quite heavy and gas operated but recoil in a turkey hunting sitting position was quite intense .

Truth be told, I used 2 7/8 inch RST light loads. At the range I get with decoys, that’s plenty through those chokes… and my shoulder likes it, too.
