Big heavy 10GA

Yey Yall, I've got a big 10Ga Parker that I believe is on an 8ga frame. It's just a beast that I remember my dad using for goose hunting. I'm bringing it to the SS in Sanford to help with getting a feel for what I've got, what length shells? and the overall condition? I have another that is more to my liking but also don't know what shells are safe to shoot in it though it appears to be tight as well.

See you there. Thank you for your time.

What is the serial number of the big 10ga? The frame size is stamped on the barrel tang, if the gun is hammerless the largest would be a 6 frame. 2 7/8" is the standard 10ga shell.

I believe you probably meant to say the frame size is stamped on the bottom of the rearmost barrel lug -- not on the barrel tang.

6 frame 10g guns have been seen before. But they are pretty scarce.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I'll take a look for the stamp and if you have time a quick look if you're going to the SS in Sanford.

Till then.
