Whippet Recoil Pad
 

I have recently acquired a BH 12 gauge trap gun . It was made in 1901 and has a Whippet Recoil Pad under the Whippet name is a picture of a Whippet and under the picture are the following letters H.S.B.& CO. , can’t find much info on the internet . Under the pad is black horn with a widows watch that has been flattened to accept the Whippet pad . Wondering when the pad was added . Thanks Tracy
