A great BHE find is ready for action.

I found this gun at Tulsa a few years back. 12 gauge, 1 1/2 frame, BHE 2 bbl set, SST, straight grip and with origin full coverage checkered splinter forearms. It was exciting as it has the original hang tags with unusual 30” and 27” barrels. The forearm for the 27” had been replaced by a nasty beaver tail and the buttstock had been replaced with some nasty checkering done on it along with being too thick in the wrist.

I sent the gun to Brian Dudley about a year ago and he did a dandy job reshaping and recheckering the butt. Ed Morgan had a spare original splinter forearm wood with full coverage checkering he sold me. Brian fit that for me and Brian made all the screws perfect along with a replacement forearm tip.

I could not be happier with this gun. I love the relief and style of the engraving, all dogs no birds. What it started as and what I have.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

I really love the checkering! Very cool to have both hang tags that match what you have.

Brian, what are the two "dots" on either side of the doll's head? What a gun.

It’s just part of the engraving pattern. It has a lot of little things the more you look at it. The engraver was very imaginative.
