having a little fun

We were heading to an academic meeting where the discussion topics were,
"ESG mandates and modern EU trade policy" and
"Urban gentrification of Chicago neighborhoods since the 1990's."
Needless to say, our minds were not on the assigned topics, but what we to wear to the next Vintager shoot.

Wonderful! But beware of “academics” wearing shirts with guns on them. :)

One better, at a recent cancer fundraiser I decided to wear a tie purchased from a fellow Parker member. A friend of an acquaintance came over and said,
"How pretty! are those crayons?"
I said,
"No, I'm pretty sure they're 12 gauge shells."
She sniffed, put her glasses back up on her forehead....
"Are you trying to make a statement?"
"No," I said. "Just having a little fun."

Keep up the good work!

Hmmm.. Urban gentrification huh? Does that mean carrying a pearl handled revolver? Asking for a friend. Please have a safe trip.

Reminds me of the time years ago I took a cookie sheet pan full of dove breast poppers to a neighborhood potluck BBQ. People gobbled them up and pressed me for what they were (most thought they were chicken liver wrapped in bacon). I had put a slice of nippy jalepeno pepper in each so they couldn't ID them right off. When they were nearly all gone, I told them what they were. Our local PITA type cried in a stage voice, "YOU KILLED, COOKED and ATE THE 'BIRD OF PEACE"??!!! I told her, 'Yeah; ever tried to eat a live one?"
