DH leave original condition ?
 

Just purchased a 1898 DH for a very fair price.Still trying to remove the bbls.Wood shows 100yr hunting wear checking on forearm, stock and butt approx 80% original. Bbls D3 70% pattern, tubes clean 2.5 chambers 30 inch not cut choke M/M.Appears never to have a turn screw on the gun.Forearm latch gray patina inside 90% CC,screw blue 100%.Action was dirty Flitz cleaned it up nicely engraving sharp with a light blue tone water table 40% cc.Tubes look like ok will check wall thickness this week as my gunsmith has my gauge.Have 3 cases of RST 2 1/2 to use Texas dove season. Dry fire it remove the forend and then see if the barrels will come off .
