Thanks for posting this exceptional Quality 3. Here is one Quality 3 Crass that I have had for quite a while but in the 17xxx block and not nearly the condition of yours. I think Joseph Loy did the engraving, personally one of my favorite American engravers...especially his dogs.

That gun is beautiful, I have gained a new appreciation for Ithaca's since I picked up this Quality 3 Lewis this spring. Now I see what it could look like, but I doubt I'll do anything with it now.

Rick, you are right, I would do nothing to my gun. It is great however, to see just how stunning they looked when new. Bruce, keep those pictures coming!

Thanks for the posts. There is something about the old Ithaca engraving I find particularly attractive. .
