G&D, Any Favorites?

I've bid on a multi-barreled sub gauge with condition.
Good luck with your auction

Dean Romig 02-24-2026 05:22 PM

Yes, that magnificent unique AAHE double trap!

Dylan Rhodes 02-24-2026 06:18 PM

I have a few, but pre-bid patterns aren’t giving me the warm fuzzies I’ll walk away with anything.

Bill Murphy 02-25-2026 09:02 AM

I'm not giving up my bids. My bidding strategy on Dean's favorite caved in very early. I was outbid in a matter of minutes. Oh, well.

Mills Morrison 02-25-2026 09:11 AM

Bobby’s choice is quite nice

Andrew Sacco 02-25-2026 09:32 AM

I like the Grade 2 hammer, I don't have a hammer gun. I want a hammer gun. I shot one hammer gun couldn't hit crap because my eyes kept going to the rabbit ears (yes, I have some form of ADHD) and distracting me. Still, I want a hammer gun.

So sell all your other shotguns Andy. When you have only one gun you leard how to shoot it without those distractions.

Oops, duplicate post…

I’d be cautious about bringing any attention to an item I intended to bid on. Got into a bidding war on my last auction purchase and probably paid a tad high (after buyers premium and sales tax) just because I’m stubborn.

That said, I do have my eye on one or two.

William Woods 02-25-2026 11:53 AM

I did not receive the catalog for the current auction. I did see a couple I was interested in when I went to their site though.

That’s all good and fine but for the price I’d rather have the DHE 28 gauge 30” .

Amen to that brother.

I like that VH 1/2 frame 2 barrel set with hang tags and price list. 1 gun covers all your small game needs. 1/2 frames are scarce, we currently estimate no more than 250 made and have 85 serial numbers logged. We know of maybe 5 total 2 barrel sets.

Bill Murphy 02-25-2026 06:53 PM

I wonder who owns that rare gun? It may be the rarest gun in the auction.

David Livesay 02-26-2026 10:07 AM

I just put in 2 bids....

Rare isn’t the best description for that Parker, but unique or 1of1 is likely more accurate.

You're biased!! :shock::rotf::corn:

Victor Wasylyna 02-26-2026 10:34 AM

I would have expected a 1/2 frame 12 gauge with 28 inch barrels to weigh less than 7 1/16 pounds. Cool gun though, particularly if you are into plural barrel sets (not my jam).

Bill Murphy 02-26-2026 10:36 AM

Dean, I hope you were referring to the two barrel set 1/2 frame. I was.

Dylan Rhodes 02-26-2026 01:23 PM

My items came and went it seems….

Nope… I was referring to the 1 of 1 AAHE double trap with the finger grips.

David Livesay 02-26-2026 02:54 PM

I thought I had won lot #67, but it went for one bid over mine. If I hadn't already bought one Parker gun this week I would have went higher. I think someone got a good deal on this one.

Wasn't that JD's grandfather's gun?

Dean Romig 02-26-2026 03:28 PM

Yes, Great-grandfather’s

Dean it sold for $1500

Bill Murphy 02-26-2026 05:38 PM

Dean is an insider with the auction house. Just kidding of course.

Dave Tercek 02-26-2026 07:46 PM

Do the prices now listed for today's auction include the buyers premium ?
Thank you

Reggie Bishop 02-26-2026 07:58 PM

Yes the sold prices include the premium.

I think it belongs to our friend in FL. The one with the 'Blingy' wife.

Ed Blake 02-26-2026 09:09 PM

Someone got an interesting Purdey 8 gauge for $3,750.

I did not understand that the prices included the buyer's premium of 20%. Are you sure?

Mike Koneski 02-26-2026 10:10 PM

Yes they do.

Mike Koneski 02-26-2026 10:17 PM

I did a long shot bid last week on that Lefever 8g. I bid $1500 figuring it would be low but one never knows. Maybe I’d get lucky? That gun went for $3000 which is cheap for an 8g! Anyone from PGCA win that Lefever??

I agree, but I’m gun shy relative to the 12 gauges. I try and chase down small bores and come up empty handed as it’s a game I can’t afford to play.

I was going to try to get into the small bore Parker game but decided I would rather have 2-3 nice original 12ga. guns to 1 small bore. In the end they will sell for about the same $’s

Bill Murphy 02-27-2026 06:26 AM

The VHE .410 skeet at $132,000 will make someone a nice quail gun.

Does anyone actually think this shotgun will actually be fired, with that kind of money into it?

Or carried through the brush with a risk of dropping it.

Dylan Rhodes 02-27-2026 07:26 AM

I wonder sometimes how many items in these auctions go home with folks who didn’t even know they wanted it. Specifically items that are already above the estimate after pre bid ends. Live bidding starts…cricket's…. Eventually someone bites and now all of the sudden 3 or 4 people are going at it. Seems like keeping up with the Jones.

I guess that’s one of the advantages of taking things to auction.
