Thoughts on model 21 16ga?

Always wanted a model 21 16ga just wondering if any other members have had experience with them and what they think about them.

I'm very pleased with my 1941 vintage 16-gauge Model 21 Skeet Gun --

That’s a beauty, I held up an earlier made splinter forend 16ga at the southern and can’t get it off my mind. They feel like they’re just the right weight for a 16ga sxs.

I also have been looking at an earlier model double trigger Win 21 in 16 gauge. Just got rid of the last of my 16's I had figuring I was done with that gauge. Up popped this one, and now I'm on the fence. I don't have a problem,I can quit anytime..

A 16ga/28"/straight stock/single trigger/ M21 has been my go to grouse gun for the last couple of years.
I don't see a change coming anytime soon.

Many years ago I had a 20-gauge, 26-inch, double triggers, ejectors and beavertail that weighed a shade over 7 pounds. I didn't shoot it well and it moved on. The 16-gauge Skeet Gun above weighs 6 pounds 12-ounces and I was into my fourth skeet round before I missed a target!

Look for your 16 in the G&D catalog.

Heres a link to single trigger down here in jawga, not mine.

We had a 21 16 gauge skeet gun in the shop for a cleaning and going over . The gun was ST , PG and 28” . I tried my best to buy it from the owner but he wouldn’t consider it , that gun felt really good in the hands .

Not the best picture of the gun, but this image is rather bittersweet. It was the last wild duck that my late American Water Spaniel retrieved. A nice, bright, late season Mallard.

Had I have known, I would have taken more pictures. He dug that drake out of some serious cover.

28" barrels; WS1 & WS2.

A friend tells me a really good M21 16-gauge with 2 sets of 28" barrels will be coming up in the Live LSB Auction on May 1-3 in Cody, WY. That's all I know at this time.

Have a 1953 16ga Model 21 with single trigger and 26" barrels choked M/IC, nothing fancy (but then there is beauty in simplicity, isn't there?). It was passed down to me from grandfather, and I, of course, love it. Quick to shoulder and well, its beavertail forend is quite a nice handful!

I have 3 M21's...20ga/skeet /28"/straight stock/leather pad/single trigger/ejector/BT #4 engraving...20ga/field/PG/checkered butt/26"/single trigger/ejector/BT...16ga/field/PG/26"/double triggers/non ejector/ splinter forend
16 weighs 6.11...I like shooting them all.
