I'm not sure why but I added a third SC to my accumulation today . Wait thats not correct I sent the funds for the gun , whether it arrives or not is up to the less than stellar shipping Gods !

The two I slready have are both 32" I wanted this one because it's a 34 inch . Doubt it picks me up any targets but one never knows until that "one" tries !

Gun was on GB and is supposed to come with it's own leg o mutton case . I'm hoping that case will also handle 34" 10 and 8 doubles

Because. That's all. Don't question it any further or you'll make yourself nuts

It looks like as good of an example as you can hope to find. It appears to be complete and unaltered. A big plus.

Bill Murphy 02-19-2022 07:37 PM

Craig, you can never own too many Parker singles. Ask me how I know.

Mike Franzen 02-20-2022 05:43 AM

It’s really tough to find one of these unaltered. I hope Bryan is right. Post some pics Shenkle you get it. I’m also interested in what the case has to tell.

John Davis 02-20-2022 07:03 AM

That does look like a nice one. That may even be the original recoil pad.

Mike Koneski 02-20-2022 08:13 AM

Craig, no reasons are needed for procuring another gun. I must say that for some reason Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” seems to run through my mind after a purchase.

As long as the Shipping Gods don’t poop on my parade this one will most likely make it to Rock Mountain .

If you make it to the Rock or I make it to the annual meeting you’re more than welcome to take it for a test drive . Then when it comes time to part with it I can say “Champion Trap Shooter John Davis” shot this gun !

hope the 8 ga fits the case...that's a really nice gun...charlie

I am pretty certain that you will like the 34” barrel. I really like mine. Makes a great Turkey gun as well. Win, win.

I don’t bother Turkey much anymore . However I’d like plunking one with one of my 10’s and going somewhere legal and plunking one with one of my 8’s

But of course ! Actually I did last year or atleast the single barrel event on the course , had a ticket for the five stand event but ran out of time .

CraigThompson 03-13-2022 10:10 AM

Mike you should give some thought into putting in some sort low gun semi skeet field . I acquired a 12 skeet since I was at your place .

All these vintage gun events should be low gun. They are supposed to be but it's not enforced.

Most of the time I shoot sporting low gun now . However I’ve picked up a (to me) kinda weird ailment at the moment . I’ll mount the gun shoot and usually break the first target and then more than a few times I’ll raise my head for the second target and fail to put it back down before I pull the trigger . Shot Saturday before last in Remington VA and my friend with me said the majority of the targets I missed the wad flew over top of them .

I dont know about that. Your wad is the least aerodynamic thing coming out of your barrel. However, if you are lifting your head try coming just a bit out of the mount and then getting a second good mount with head on gun. Works great on report pairs and even some simo pairs.
