John, where are you in NE WA? We have a vacation home on the southern tip of Camano Island, looking west across Saratoga Passage to Langley on Whidbey Island.

Dave

Hi Dave, you're in my neighborhood. I'm just north of Stanwood on the west side of Lake Ketchum. I'm on the bluff, right above the winery looking out over Utsalady and the North end of Camano, Whidbey, Fir, and Fidalgo Islands and the Olympics. Sunsets are amazing. Look me up when you're in the area. We can go take a couple guns to the Stanwood Sportsman's club.

Hi Dave, My mom's side of the family hails from Spokane, the Valley and the Panhandle. Spent many a summer on a lake as a kid. Amazed at the growth everytime I drive through on my way to MT. Still have cousins there and an uncle who splits his time between Cheney and Twin Lakes, ID

John,
I enjoyed your album — great gun, wonderful pup, and incredible wide open spaces. Thanks!!

Welcome John! Nice pics of your beautiful state. My daughter lived in Seattle for a few years and I always enjoyed my visits there. And nice Land Cruiser!

Thank you Reggie!

That Land Cruiser has been in storage in a barn at my other place for nearly 20 years. It's a 1987 FJ60. I've acquired two more since then. My 1999 FJ100 has nearly 340k on it and was my daily driver until I got the one pictured back on the road.

Was growing nervous about the miles so in 2019 I ordered a new FJ200 that I've only put 20k on. It sits in the garage waiting for the other two to die. I think it's going to be waiting a long time. Just too nice to haul dogs around in, and they go everywhere with me.

My kid moved to Pittsburgh for school, so I finally sold the other place. and with some of the proceeds', put the old FJ60 back on the road. Can't really call it a Toyota anymore cuz it has a brand new 6.2 litre LS3 and automatic transmission from GM. 430 HP at the crank but still bounces around and handles like an old truck. Perhaps Toyo-Let?
