3 DIGIT PARKERS

Hey Jim: I have # 0229 with 28 inch uncut barrels. Anyone here know why the zero pre-fix?

Best Regards, George

Number 0 (zero)As First Number Of Some Serial Numbers

George ... I have no idea why the zero (0) was used at the front of the serial numbers ... Austin Hogan and others may know ... And the reason may be in The Parker Story as well ... And Please check your PM's for a note on another subject.

Best regards, Jim Kucaba

My guess is the feds. may require a minimum numerals in the firearms' serial number.

Serial Prefix

We don't know anything for certain, but the longest lived theory is that the contractors identified their work by the 0 or B before the serial number.
