I found a VHE 32" vent rib 'trap gun ' locally. Dual ivory's, choked F&F, quite attractive wood as well! The gun was redone at some point but done well. The pitch is a little high for my taste but since it has had a spacer installed to a Kickeeze I can always cut the spacer to correct the pitch to me or use a pitch spacer- if I buy it!
The serial number has it as a late Remington gun.
Hopefully pictures will follow!

So I broke a 22 with the right barrel, then a 22 with the left barrel.
On 16 yard targets and as fast as I shoot almost every target was smoke. Not surprising, all I had for ammo was Remington STS handicap loads.
Now if I can make the deal...

No deal to make. Just pay the man what he’s asking and enjoy the gun.

Never worry about overpaying for a gun. You can always resell it for a loss.

If you test a gun prior to buying, you must only assess the 2nd peg scores. 1st peg to get a feel for the gun. The second for score. If you shoot the second well and you like the gun, you must shoot 3,4,and 5 very poorly. If you shoot 22/22 or better, the price will become less negotiable.

Just kidding! Maybe... LOL!

Enjoy your new 32" Parker.

I never paid too much for a gun I liked and shot well. I overpaid for all the rest.

I was hoping to trade a Perazzi that I don't shoot and some cash. He wasn't really interested in my asking price for the Perazzi. However we are on good terms so we will keep trying to come to a solution.
I just glanced through my safe and I see at least 5 guns that haven't gone out to play in years so it's time to try and move them as well.

I refer to it as 'new gunitis ' , a guy buys a new gun and it shoots well from excitement then Murphy sticks his head into the mix and that new gun becomes a project. Adjustable stocks, new choke tubes etc. Get a gun that fits, learn to shoot it by breaking targets.

The deal has been done! Now it's in the nether world of NICS before I can bring it home and get some pictures to share.
This dealer has quite a few Parkers in the rack including an 8 bore !

Just curious what state you are buying the gun that has a waiting period? How long is the waiting period?

NJ, it's not a waiting period other than NICS being overwhelmed ( or so I'm told)

That’s what Gov. Maura Healey tells us in Massachusetts…

The National Instant Check System, Instant of course you can take with a grain of salt.

NJ is a state not at all friendly to gun owners or shooting sportsmen. That is why I transferred all to Florida. NY, NJ and Mass. are so far left leaning, they'll do anything to sabotage legal gun ownership. I'm done with the Northeast.

Im in agreement, however I'm stuck here with an elderly parent so I have to deal with it.
