That pad was manufactured by the DEVO Company and was their high quality "Whippet Good" recoil pad.

The ones I've seen were A.K. Anderson Red Head pads

A number of Red Head pads were tradenamed; including Ranger, Western Field, "NoJolt" (for Marshall-Wells) and "TruSport" (for E.K. Tryon).

Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co., Chicago. Same Ptd. number.

I once owned a 16 ga. EE Grade Lefever that was equipped with a Whippet pad - the only one I've ever seen. (Sorry, no pictures!).

Drew, you can add W. Bingham Co. to your list of "trade branded" Red Head recoil pads --

Here's one I picked up at a flea market years ago. The "Gun Pads" logo kind of reeks of Asian manufacture; I recall some interesting takes on branding musical instruments back in the day trying to relate to the America market (Hay Market acoustic guitars is one I remember). Anyway, it seems to be well made and I kinda like the goose depiction; the problem is the base is only about 4-1/8" long; way too small for anything I've found. Any info? Maybe it came off a toy?

My 16 ga. Rem. M11 that belonged to my grandad has a Whippet recoil pad. How it got put on there I haven't a clue, but he had to have paid for it to be done because he bought the gun new.
