Ice and bird dogs

Several yrs ago I bought a Filson chest protector for Kansas. Nearing 14 he's still got all the GSP spunk but doesn't fully appreciate ice and hockey pucks.

Take note of the strap along his back in the photo and how it can be used to lift him by supporting his chest - it's like carrying a suitcase and is great for ice (and senior dogs in particular).

What size do you have on your dog? He looks about the same size as my Beau.

His natural build puts him at about 55-60 lbs (max) if we’re not actively hunting. Here, he’s 65lbs. His protector doesn’t have size marked on it anywhere but from recollection it’s a medium and maxed-out, if not slightly tight on him in this photo.
