I am in need of a butt plate for 1930 Ghe 1 frame 16 gauge. Anyone have any recommendations as for quality and fit. Would a 1 frame be marked 0. It is spurless. Thanks. Gerald.

It would be marked "1" unless the gun is a special order with a smaller or larger buttplate.

Each size buttplate has its own unique style of dog on it and can be easily identified that way. They also should have the number on the back of it.
I have high quality reproductions of all types of Parker buttplates on hand. $25.00 each.

The Parker Story probably has pictures of the dog insignia on the buttplates of various sizes.

The # zero buttplate has a young setter embossed. The #1 has a dog with a woodcock or snipe in his mouth. The #2 has a fierce looking retriever. NC Ordinance has pictures on their website. Brian has them too, and we would rather buy from Brian.

Thanks.
The Trojan guns had a simple black butt plate with horizontal serrations on it, no matter the gauge.

Count the grooves in a Trojan buttplate to find the difference from another brand of buttplate. They all have a different number of grooves.
