Buy the best original condition gun you can with available funds. Don't buy two or three lesser condition guns. It's much easier to sell an original condition gun because you know it won't be your last.

I have been very fortunate finding some great guns on local hunting forums, which have a For Sale section.
I purchased 3 guns that stand out. pre 64 Super Grade, 1966 RKLT 28 gauge, and recently a Remington 14R ( carbine) 32:Remington.
Unfortunately no Parkers….yet.
