I have a D Grade 10 gauge Lifter with the original stock almost identical to that wood.
It's imported Circassian walnut.

If the dark area is oil or sweat stain, another strip with acetone or such may even out the color. Can we see the rest of the gun?

Bill unfortunately the dark area is burned not sure how.
