I bought a bag of those screws and they have worked on a few older guns. They seem to be made long to be shortened to regulate the screw. In one case, I think the hammer surfaces had been polishe to the point that they had introduced a little looseness.

The price of that hammer screw on EBay is a little steep. There are one or two different threads. I have had some hammer screws that were interchangeable and some that wouldn't work.

Try these first; https://www.trackofthewolf.com/parts...4-40-parker-tx

It is nice to bring one back. Good luck and feel free to reach out with any questions.
