While he was a close personal friend, it is the gun community as a whole that has lost one of the iconic figures. Perhaps Hershal Chaddick is the only person who passed along more Parkers. Gary was a bottomless well of gun knowledge, and I learned much of what I know from him. My dad bought a lot of Parkers from Gary, and being witness to many of those transactions was a fundamental foundation of my love for the gun.
