The post office should, but in Nashville I have 3 post offices that accept guns and one that refuses to.
This is not the case in NY. Antiques must go to an FFL and the buyer must go through the state background check. All background checks for all gun and ammo must go through the state background check system.

Well Brian, if New York State is anything like New Jersey, every gun regardless of vintage must go through an FFL and have a background check. This includes air guns and muzzleloaders. It’s too big a risk to take. If somehow you got caught, you’d end up in an expensive legal battle with criminal repercussions, and most likely they would confiscate all your guns. You might get them back someday, but it would be costly in many ways.

What ever happened to "...shall not be infringed"??

Same kind of recent BS in Mass too.

And now Mass is delaying by months the renewal process of a simple LTC by several months. It happened to me for no good reason al all.
I got on the phone immediately with Jim Wallace, a friend of mine who is Executive Director of GOAL and he said "We're working on it, but it's simple and intentional 'foot dragging' on their part... not much we can do right now but our legal team is on it 24/7."
