The two barrel set C with modifications did bring more than the DH. The DH was a rare Damascus barrel 28 that someone bought at a good price in my opinion. The only negative about it, if you call it a negative, is that it was an 0 frame gun. Prices seemed a bit weak on the Parkers that I watched but that was only about the first four or five that sold. Too many auctions in December! I wonder if someone here bought either gun? Or the 12 gauge 32" A grade gun?

Nothing surprises me anymore, and it seemed like another example of “Never Say Never”. I was shocked that CHE 28 hammered at $20,000. Half of the auctioneer’s low estimate. Yes, it had been fussed with, but it was still a ‘one of one’ gun.

My thoughts as well Reggie. It took some hard focus to stay out of the mix on the D grade gun. Damscus barrels too. I took a run at a few guns but only until they weren't a real steal in my opinion. The AHE 12 gauge really seemed interesting but I just don't know enough about that segment of the market to be too aggressive.

I saw a 20 gauge, 32" gun in Shreveport at a hotel gun show for very little money (crs prevents me from remembering the number). Went to the hotel payphone (!) and called a good friend who was collecting Parkers and he said '...buy it!". I guess I had enough money on hand to do so, so the price must have been $500 or less. Yes, it was over 40 years ago.

I saw that gun, or one just like it for sale in So. Cal. approx. 25 years ago for $3500.00
It was part of an estate sale out of the LA area.
Water under the bridge now, but it's fun to go back and look at life's little mistakes
