I've always like this pic from the 1955 Larry Koller's Book of Guns. A couple of proper gents at Station 2 with their Model 21s --

That was most certainly years ago most shooters now myself included would have a cow over the little shell stands they saw fit to put at each station back then .

The shell box stands were very convenient for the fellows and gals who shot Skeet in their shirtsleeves and didn't have shooting jackets or vests with pockets.

Maybe so but buy a shell pouch and belt . Those stands would get in my way when I positioned on the stations . And while that sounds a bit anal it's true I find anything in front on me when I'm shooting to make me feel like somethings in the way . Same thing when they used to put those little stands at the 16 yard line in trap . And part of the game is shooting when you're comfortable .
