An early Parker Single and an early Bird!

At about 6:15 AM this morning my good friend Jimmy R. With one of his Parker single barrel trap guns bagged this nice Tom turkey who came strutting into his blind accompanied by a smaller Jake, lured in by Jim’s seductive calling! His gun of choice today was an earlier SBT with the scroll engraving on the bottom instead of the pigeon that evolved on the later guns. It has a 32 inch full choke barrel. A great day to be in the woods!

The gun is the delivery system but what load came out of the muzzle? :)

Classic vintage Winchester Super X 2 3/4 inch 11/4 oz of 6's.

That’s what we need to see more of. SBT’s taking game in the field. I’ve used mine on dove but it would also make a great turkey hammer.

That would make a clay target disappear.

When Leo Harrison III was asked why he used #7.5 shot he answered "because the ATA doesn't allow #6 shot". :)

Or 1 1/4 oz of shot.

I grew up shooting 7 1/2's and killed a lot of native birds.
