I did not understand that the prices included the buyer's premium of 20%. Are you sure?

I did a long shot bid last week on that Lefever 8g. I bid $1500 figuring it would be low but one never knows. Maybe I’d get lucky? That gun went for $3000 which is cheap for an 8g! Anyone from PGCA win that Lefever??

I wonder sometimes how many items in these auctions go home with folks who didn’t even know they wanted it. Specifically items that are already above the estimate after pre bid ends. Live bidding starts…cricket's…. Eventually someone bites and now all of the sudden 3 or 4 people are going at it. Seems like keeping up with the Jones.

I guess that’s one of the advantages of taking things to auction.

I got lucky. Threw in a low ball bid five minutes before the gun came to auction and won it. I was very surprised.
