Yeah, they came off as easy as they went on. I was aware that the cocking hook can be an issue sometimes. Not here.
The primary hang up with the Vickers barrels on the GH is that it seems like the width of the underlug is just barely wide enough and it is a tight fit on the GH frame. But it does go on as well and come off too. Just not as smooth as an open as it should be.
I am not sure how these Vickers barrels were constructed. The underlug has a Parker S/N stamped on it. Also in the 70,000 range if I remember correctly, The number is from a Damascus gun. But there is no sign of any sleeving, and the chambers are 2-3/4 inches. So it looks like they made the barrels all from scratch and just reused a Parker underlug. Even the forend loop is different, even though it does use a Parker forend, it is different.
