Default Information request on 28 gauge Parker

Hello, good afternoon. First time posting. I have a Parker Brothers 28 gauge that was left to me from my stepfather. The serial number is #213858. I see that it was manufactured in 1925. I was told, when it was given to me that there were a pair that belonged to a Doctor in Atlanta. The Doctor gave one to my stepfather's father. I requested a letter from PGCA and was informed that there were several on the same order # in the stock book but no way of tracking after that. Can anyone help with info on how to perhaps figure out who has other gun? If there is another one in pairing?
I am interested to know information on the gun? I would like to know its value. Can someone help? Thank you!

Default 28

Nice gun John, according to the serialization book. Parker #213,859 is the same configuration as yours. A VH 28 ga. With 26” barrels.

I’m no expert but a VH 28G is a valuable gun if it’s in good shape, which it looks to be.

If I'm being perfectly honest, The only negative I can see, is the stock extension/recoil pad. Obviously done for someone with long arms, and while photos can be deceiving, it looks as though the length to the end of the original stock is probably what one would find, unaltered.
I have had a few Parker 28ga guns, and eventually passed them on, except for my all-time favorite straight stocked 28", 0 frame gun. That is the one gun which never fails to make me appear to be a far better shot than I really am, and is such a joy to shoot.
After the introduction of the 00 frame, very few 0 frame 28s were made. Based upon your serial number, I would guess yours is a 00 frame gun. As it appears to be in better than average condition, I'm comfortable in saying it is in the $9000 range, and possibly more. The Parker 28ga. is sought after and is very likely to only continue going up in value. If you are what many would call average in stature, having a proper 'Dogs Head Butt-plate' installed will add well more than the cost to have that work done.
My personal preference is for the the 0 frame, as most of my shooting is clays. Carrying a 00 frame gun for hours in the woods has only a marginal advantage, and is fast to swing on the elusive woodcock, or grouse. The 0 frame has a tiny bit more mass, making it very effective at sporting clays.
You are very fortunate to have had such a gun passed down to you, and I wish you years of enjoyment with it.
