I especially liked the engraving on the bottom of the receiver. The inscription is intriguing. I agree, it was a lot for a gun with serious issues, but.....
I too inquired re: the SN and stock dimensions. Crickets. For the most part, the sellers other listings tells me he doesn't ordinarily deal in this level of gun.

In searching for info on CA Winship, I found he was a wealthy land developer.
He must have liked Parkers, as he had a CHE, inscribed similarly, on the top rib.
