Wonderful gun. Congrats to new owner. Curious about the checkering on the butt stock compared to the fore end. Is this how they made them?

I bought that gun and should have it soon. Looked right to me. Letter ordered. I broke my new years resolution of no new guns. LOL

You didn't break any resolution Craig. That gun is 126 years old. It's surely not a new gun. See, I can fix any problem you might have. Free of charge.
