Tom, Flanigan, I agree with all the points you made above. I've owned a sterlingworth and parker trojan. The Trojan in my opinion is by far the better gun and of all my Parkers it's my favorite to take into the field.

Brian,

So in theory, should a set of 16 gauge Trojan Barrels that I remove the rib extension from fit onto a 16 gauge later Trojan without the rib extension cut into the frame with the usual fitting required, which may or may not work?

I hate to cut the extension off the orphaned barrels only to find that there is a difference in earlier and later guns.
