James,

You're saying that both barrel sets are 12 bore and that one set is rifled?

Thanks, Dean

James, we need to hear more about that gun. I would assume it is Doctor Snavely's old gun. Dr. Snavely was quite proud of it but I don't know if he ever shot bullets out of the rifled barrels.

Dean, both of the barrels are twelve bore, the one barrel is 31 and the other is 26 in. the rifled barrel has the following engraved on the rib "MFG for C.A. WINSHIP.PALMS. CALIFORNIA,BY PARKER BROS." I will try to get some pictures.

Hi Doc.!!!

I'll post the pics for you - no problem at all..

Anyway - Here is Doc's Parker - and the pictures don't do it justice (thank Charlie!! ) and I can say that as I was there when Charlie was taking these pics (I was rummaging through the gun safe to see what else Doc had at the time - more on that later )....

John

Looks like a Parodox! Just makes you wonder it it went to Africa. Some of the Jungle guns had rifling the last 4" or so. Others had rifling that ran straight from the chamber until the last 2 1/2 or 3"s then took a twist. How is the rifling in this gun?
