Registered Mail is notoriously slow because of the required signatures at each point of custody.

John I just went through this. It took 11 business days for a package to make it from Ilion to Southern IN using USPS Priority-Registered. Last Thursday FedEx picked up a gun at my office in the late afternoon. On Friday afternoon, the next day, it was delivered in Central MI. USPS and registered mail has it's devoted followers who will cite the reliability of it. Personally I wonder if it's just an old habit that's convenient for them. To each his own I suppose. Ne need to be nervous on your end as this is typical for them.
